 Dr David Montague is about to address a neurologists' convention, which may earn him a knighthood. Jane Tate, an old flame arrives just as he's putting the finishing touches to his speech. She delivers a bombshell regarding a liaison they had many years earlier. David wantys to conceal this from both his wife and the hospital authorities. Inevitably this leads to lies and fabrications. Add to this a wandering senile patients, a police sergeant, various matrons, patomime sostumes and a syringe full of tranquilliser and we have the ingredients for a hilarious farce!
